Tuto peknou kaplicku v roce 2005 postavili a smolinskym myslivcum venovali jejich rakousti kolegove Leo Huber, Fritz Pitsch a Klaus Telega.
Jadrem svatohubertske legendy je zjeveni posvatneho jelena, tentokrate nemirnemu a neukaznenemu lovci. Namisto trestu zde nastupuje milosrdenstvi ke kajicimu hrisnikovi. Je to prevedeni povesti o divem lovci do roucha krestanskych legend. Misto citovani hubertske legendy jen kratce neco o pravdepodobne historicke osobnosti zname pod jmenem svateho Huberta. Pripousti se, ze Hubert (v pramenech nazyvany Hubertus, Hugibert, Huckert) se narodil roku 656 jako syn Bernarda vevody z Akvitanie. Jako slechtic se jiste oddaval bourlivemu zivotu vcetne lovu, tehdejsi oblibene kratochvili. Byla to doba, kdy krestanstvi bylo na viteznem postupu. Hubert se zrekl svetskeho zivota a priklonil se k cirkvi. Ovsem legenda o zjeveni posvatneho jelena se zacala tradovat az v 15. stoleti. Povest o Hubertove zboznosti se zahy rozsirila, posleze byl jmenovan biskupem v Lutychu. Zemrel udajne v roce 727. Preneseni jeho ostatku do opatstvi Andain v Adrenach se odehralo 3.listopadu 744 a od te doby zasvetila cirkev tento den sv. Hubertovi.
Jako patron lovcu zacal byt uctivan v Belgii, pote v Holandsku a v Nemecku. K nam byl zaveden jeho kult koncem 17.stoleti opet nemeckou slechtou, zvlaste pak Frantiskem Antoninem hrabetem Sporckem, a postupne zatlacil do pozadi kult sv. Eustacha.

Saint Hubertus or Hubert (born c. 656, probably in Toulouse; died May 30, 727 in Tervuren near Brussels, Belgium), called the "Apostle of the Ardennes" was the first Bishop of Liège. Hubertus is a Christian saint, the patron saint of hunters, mathematicians, opticians and metalworkers, and used to be invoked to cure rabies until the early 20th century through the use of the traditional St Hubert’s Key. Saint Hubert was widely venerated in the Middle Ages. The iconography of his legend is entangled with the legend of St Eustace.
