Just a quick and easy cache to attract you to Talisman Park, a beautiful neighborhood park at the east end of Willamina Avenue. In the summer, it's a lovely spot for a picnic. There's a great play area for the kids and the park has a number of trees with numbering plates--I've received confirmation that this is a street-tree testing ground for the city.
There is no motor vehicle access to the park from Gales Creek Road, but there is ample nearby parking which I've included as a waypoint. Bicyclists and pedestrians can cross through a gravel/dirt trail from Gales Creek Road.
The container is a retired mint tin. Log only--bring your own signing tool, as I didn't have a pen small enough for the container. The terrain IS actually wheelchair friendly (paved with no obstructions) however the cache placement itself may not be reachable by someone in a wheelchair, thus the 1.5 terrain.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a history of caches being muggled from this park, including some of my prior hides in other park areas. The cache location is in view of several homes, so please be aware of your surroundings as you seek it. If muggles are around, please return later rather than to give up this cache location.
As with most city parks, the park hours are dawn to dusk, so please limit your caching to those times.
