Lord Havel considered castle Lemberk as too small
so he
bought other castle Vladislav, his intention was to rebuild it
into
fortified monastery for Johanit order. The construction went
smoothly and soon the time of final building approval and a
big
celebration had come. Lord Havel with his wife Zdislava
travelled
to Svetlá (original name of Ceský Dub). They were warmly
welcomed,
a generous banquet was prepared. They ate, drank, feasted
until
they had stomachache. Lord Havel decided to rest so he went to
his
chambers. His spouse (much younger) dediced to spent her time in
a
different way. She learnt about a newly built secret tunnel and
she
was very eager to explore it. And of course walking on fresh
air
could make her feel better. The tunnel led to the near
village
Roven. There was a small farm close to the entrance, local
peasants
offered her some meal and they even lent her horse for a way
back
to the castle. Zdislava decided to go down to Knežicky.
There,
near the forest, she saw a young and handsome huntsman Sochor
who
was sitting under twisted oak and watching a burly stag feeding
on
grass. Zdislava sent her company down to the brook to squelch
and
catch some trouts for the evening barbecue party. Lord Havel
wasn't
a good hunter, but he really liked to decorate his house with
hunting trophies. zdislava spent some time by friendly
discussion
with Sochor. But later there was more than just words and
Zdislava
acquired exquisite horns for his husband. Lord Havel was so
happy
from the antlers so he ordered local carpenter Wurzel to make
a
cross and place it near the oak. And because it happened on 15th
of
June, on the day of St. Vít, he dedicated the cross to this
saint.
Zdislava born a beautifull daughter in March next year. The
cross
can is still there and they are hold tradicional fairs and
parties
on the day of St. Vít. The first one will be on 15th of June
2011.
So this is the story or maybe it happened differently. Famous
scholar Tomáš from Edel, which explored the komenda,
didn't
find the tunnel, but in compliance with the citation from
well-known movie "I haven't seen your p.... though, but after all
I
believe that you have it", it is sure the tunnel is there
somewhere.
