Geocache Description:

One of four caches in the same area. A small traditional cache big enough for mini log book, pencil, and a few small swaps / Trackable items.

Due to one of my recent caches being in the middle of a housing estate (Downley Heights 1) it received some negative feedback as it was very much in the view of neighbours. I therefore archived / closed that cache down and have hidden this one (and another REAL close!) in place of it less than a mile away. This is a much less public location where you should feel safer to roam around searching for the caches! You can also get a good view of the original Downley Heights cache location from here.
This can be a quick 5 minute Cache n Dash but I really recommend you spend a minute walking a bit further up the hill to see the awesome views all across Wycombe and go for the 2nd cache. Nice little summer picnic spot or great sledging spot in the snow! (Beware its quite hilly here!)
Tom Burt's Hill is situated between Marlow Hill and Carver Hill Road in High Wycombe. The open space can be accessed from a number of directions, Wordsworth Road, Shelley Road, Kingsley Crescent, Loakes Road and West End Street.
This is a large open space, which has great views of the town centre. It is a peaceful location used by people for dog walking, office workers taking a lunch break and people just walking.
Dog walkers are reminded to clean up after their dogs by placing dog poop in the bins provided. Co-operation in this scheme is appreciated as it helps keep our parks safe and clean for all users.
The site is split into two areas. The open space which is the top end leading from Shelley Road down to Loakes Road and the area between Loakes Road and West End Street which is woodland and is managed by the council Woodland Team.
