Geocache Description:


The Leigh Loop is a trail of 64 caches placed over approx 13.5 miles of pathways and bridleways starting from Leigh.

The trail can be done in one complete circuit or two stages 1-26 (6 miles) and 27-64 (7.5 miles) both of which start and finish near the church however there are no bonus numbers to collect so you can start anywhere and go in any direction.

There is a selection of different cache sizes but most are micros with a few larger caches for you to drop off your Travel Bugs or coins.

Allot of the caches have been designed to be placed in a very specific places so please insure the caches are replaced exactly how they were found

All the caches contain a log book but no pen and all (but two) are placed very close to the paths, muddy in places and quite a lot of styles to cross so not suitable for buggies or bikes.

There are a few very short road sections and a few minor roads to cross and you will be walking directly past 6 other caches on route and a few more very close by.

The best place to park is alongside Leigh Church which is next to The Plough pub. If you start with Church Micro Leigh, this will lead you nicely onto the trail.
