This cache is located near a beautiful mountain lake that sits below the highest mountains in New Mexico.
Cache is located above Middle Fork Lake in the Carson National Forest south of Red River. A reasonable hike from the West Fork Trailhead is required. Cache contains a logbook and pencil along with swag including New Mexico State Police Uniform Buttons, a NMSP Uniform shoulder patch, a Billy Bushwacker pin, Concord pull chain, Shell Neckless, & a miniture polar bear. To access the cache a hike up the old jeep trail is the easiest.
