Geocache Description:

This cache was placed to celebrate my first 50 Dartmoor finds. Fur Tor is one of the most remote parts of North Dartmoor and is my favourite camping location on Dartmoor.

Some interesting information on Fur Tor can be found here along with other areas of Dartmoor.
(visit link)

My normal approach is from Fernworthy Forest via Sittaford Tor, past Winneys Down and follow the range post and up onto Cut Hill and around to Fur Tor.

THIS CACHE IS LOCATED INSIDE OKEHAMPTON RANGE AND MUST NOT BE ATTEMPTED WHEN THE RANGE IS CLOSE INDICATED BY RED FLAGS AND LIGHTS.

Information on range times can be found here
(visit link)

As always with Dartmoor care must be taken at all times and make sure you have the right equipment, clothing and ability to attempt this cache. Mobile phone signal is little to none and the weather changes very quickly and can become very severe.

Despite the effort, this is a very rewarding cache as you will find yourself in one of the most remote locations on Dartmoor and England and will be lucky if see another person.

The cache is a clear clip-lock box, inside at time of publish it contained a DVD Movie, a costume bracelet, a flower ring, dolphin necklace, plectrum, a flower hair clip 3 pens a pencil and pencil sharpener, a flower hair clip and the log book.
