You'll learn something from the history of Castle at Mnisek pod

Brdy and you'll see this nice place from bird's eyeview before you will find our cache.

It is possible to visit Mnisek pod Brdy by car, there is a big parking place in the front of the castle, or it is possible to go by very nice train along the Vltava River to the "Rymane" train station and then walk along the yellow touristic sign approx. 2km to the center of Mnisek pod Brdy. The best initial station for train is "Branik" or "Modrany" station, you can check the timetable here: (visit link) , it is possible to switch this web site to English or German. The best free touristic maps of Czech republic are here: (visit link)

Stage 1: The initial point of the first coordinate is Castle at Mnisek pod Brdy, more detailed info at www.zamek-mnisek.cz. For answer for the first question you can visit the sight-seeing for children or you can try to ask in the Castle's box office.

4th Castle's tower keeper is: Sleeping Beauty (A=1), Water sprite (A=2), Devil (A=3)

Stage 2: Then go ahead through the protected alley which lining the way from the Lhotecka street towards the Skalka place. This alley is the winner of the "Tree of the year 2004" inquiry.

There are most of: Horse Chestnuts (B=1), Lime trees (B=2), Oaks (B=3)

Stage 3: There are many ways to the Skalka area, some of them are more comfortable, some of them less. I think, that the best way is going straight from the end of the alley up to the Skalka, you can come after path. You will see the nice chapel of st. Mari Magdalena, then go around the monumental tree, then go ahead 100m to the view point with the seat, you will find the memorial plaque of the native.

His name is: Jan Stastny (C=1), Jan Vesely (C=2), Jan Smutny (C=3)

There are many places which I can recommend to visit under the Skalka hill, it is mentioned chapel of st. Mari Magdalena, Monastery and nice Calvary. Tired pilgrims could visit the kiosk, buy the sausages and use the local fireplace to broil them.

Stage 4: You'll need to count the stations of the cross (D) on the way up to the hill.

Then you will have the (D) for the final formula: N 49°52.(A+B)(4-C)7', E14°D.(A+B+C)(10-C)5'
