Ein schneller kleiner Multi ohne große Anforderungen mit Start am Schinkelplatz

Schinkelplatz
Das ist mein erster eigener Cache. Es ist ein einfacher Multi mit Anfangs- und Zwischenstation, die Euch dann zum Final führen. Ihr müßt bei den Stationen ein paar Daten abgreifen, um die Koordinaten für das Final zu ermitteln. Nicht zu viel erwarten: schaut auf den D und T Wert! Die Idee zu diesem Multi kam mir auf dem Weg zur Arbeit. Ich komme hier mit dem Rad fast jeden Tag vorbei. Man kann auch ziemlich ruhig und abseits der großen Verkehrsadern durch Berlin kommen!


Die Anfangskoordinaten führen Euch zum Schinkelplatz.

Der Schinkelplatz ist ein kleiner, aber städtebaulich wichtiger Platz im alten Zentrum Berlins. Er liegt in der Nähe des Schlossplatzes und gehört zum Stadtteil Friedrichswerder im Stadtbezirk Mitte. Die Fläche von 1700 m² hat die Form eines schmalen Dreiecks; sie wird nach Süden begrenzt durch die Berliner Bauakademie – zur Zeit nur als Attrappe vorhanden -, nach Westen durch die Niederlagstraße und nach Osten durch die Unterwasserstraße, die hier als Uferweg entlang des Kupfergrabens - eines Seitenarmes der Spree -  verläuft.
Der Platz trägt den Namen des preußischen Architekten Karl Friedrich Schinkel, zu dessen stilbildenden Werken auch die zwischen 1832 und 1836 errichtete Bauakademie gehörte.

Ihr steht direkt vor dem Denkmal des Namensgebers des Platzes. Am Denkmal befinden sich zwei Jahreszahlen. Ermittelt die Summe der Buchstabenwerte (A=1, B=2 etc.) der ersten Jahreszahl (ergibt einen Sinn, wenn man sie sieht), das sei A, und die Summe der Buchstabenwerte der zweiten darunter befindlichen Jahreszahl, sei B

Die Zwischenstation führt Euch zur Schleusenbruecke. Sie überspannt in Berlin-Mitte den westlichen Spreearm an der Spreeinsel und verbindet damit den Werderschen Markt mit dem Schloßplatz. Der Name der Bruecke geht auf eine fruehere an dieser Stelle vorhandene Schleuse und den Schleusengraben zurück.

Ihr steht mitten auf der Schleusenbrücke. Am Geländer der Schleusenbrücke mit Blickrichtung Süden, befinden sich Stadtansichten aus verschiedenen Jahren aus Bronze. Die Quersumme der Jahreszahl auf der Stadtansicht links von der Bezeichnung "Schleusenbrücke" sei C und die Quersumme der Jahreszahl rechts davon sei D.

Nun habt Ihr alle Daten und müßt nur noch ein bisschen rechnen, um zum Final zu gelangen.

This is my first Cache. It's a simple Multi-Cache with a start and a second stage that are going to lead you to the Final. You have to retrieve some data at the stages to get the coordinates for the Final. Don't expect too much: look at the D and T indicator! I got the idea for that Multi-Cache on my way to work. I'm passing by nearly every day. It IS possible to travel through Berlin on small and quiet streets and paths!

The start coordinates take you to the Schinkelplatz.

The Schinkelplatz is a small but important place for urban development in Berlin's centre. It's situated near the Schlossplatz and belongs to the urban district Friedrichswerder which is part of the urban district Mitte. The acreage of 1700 square meters has the form of a small triangle; it's confined by the Berlin Bauakademie in the south - which is just a dummy at the moment, west by Niederlagestrasse and east by the Unterwasserstrasse, that runs as a shorepath along the Kupfergraben - a sidearm of the river Spree.
The place carries the name of the prussian architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel, among whose style-building buildings the Bauakademie is to be found.

You're standing directly in front of the statue of the eponym of the Place. There are two dates on Schinkel's statue. Calculate the sum of the letter values (A=1, B=2 etc.) of the first date (year only; it does make sense, when you see it), that is A  and the sum of the letter values of the second date directly beneath (year only), is B.

The second stage takes you to the "Schleusenbrücke". The Schleusenbrücke (Watergatebridge) spans the western arm of the River Spree and thus connects Werderscher Markt with Schlossplatz. The name of the bridge relates to a former Watergate and trench nearby

You are standing in the middle of the bridge. At the southern railing of the bridge are several views of the city of Berlin on bronze plaques. The crossfoot of the year on the plaque left of the name "Schleusenbrücke" is C and the crossfoot of the year on the plaque to the right is D.

Now you have all the data and all you need to do is calculate a bit to reach the Final.
