Ce este?
Evenimentul aniversar "10 ani de Geocaching in Romania" este o
intalnire libera a pasionatilor de geocaching din tara si
strainatate. Oaspetii vor avea ocazia sa viziteze punctele de
atractie din regiune, sa admire peisajele naturale, sa guste din
bucatele traditionale, sa caute geocutii, dar mai ales sa petreaca
momente de neuitat in compania celorlalti geocacheri.
Cu ocazia acestui event s-au creat geocoinuri si tricouri
aniversare. De asemenea, s-au ascuns geocacheuri pentru toate
gusturile: cutii traditionale, mystery-uri si multi-uri, accesibile
cu masina, bicicleta sau doar mergand pe jos.
Cand este?
Evenimentul incepe in zorii zilei de 1 Aprilie, si se sfarseste pe
3 aprilie dupa-amiaza. Geocacherii sunt asteptati incepand cu 31
martie.
Unde este?
In Bran se afla primul cache din Romania, asa ca evenimentul
aniversar nu poate avea loc in alta parte. Localitatea Bran este
situata la 24 km sud-vest de Brasov, la poalele muntilor Piatra
Craiului si Bucegi, la intrarea in culoarul Rucar-Bran. In aceasta
regiune natura a creat numeroase puncte de atractie: cheile si
pestera Dambovicioarei, Pestera Liliecilor, prapastiile
Zarnestilor, cheile Rasnoavei. Punctul de atractie principal este
Castelul Bran, supranumit Castelul lui Dracula intr-un roman scris
de Bram Stoker.

What is it?
The anniversary event "10 years of Geocaching in Romania" is a free
meeting for geocaching enthusiasts, both locals and from abroad.
Guests will have the opportunity to visit the attractions of the
region, to admire the natural landscapes, to taste the traditional
dishes, to seek geoboxes, and especially to spend unforgettable
moments in the company of others geocachers.
For this event, anniversary shirts and geocoins were made. In the
area, geocaches for all tastes were hidden: traditional boxes,
mysteries and multicaches, accessible by car, bicycle or on foot
only.
When is it?
The event spans from the early morning of April 1 to the afternoon
of April 3. Geocachers are expected to arrive starting March
31.
Where is it?
The town of Bran is the home of Romania's first cache, so the
anniversary event couldn't take place elsewhere. Bran is located 24
km southwest of Brasov, at the foot of Piatra Craiului and Bucegi
Mountains, at the entrance of Rucar Pass. In this region, nature
has created numerous attractions: Dambovicioarei gorges and cave,
the Bat Cave, the precipices of Zarnesti, Rasnoavei gorges. The
main attraction point is Bran Castle, designated as Dracula's
Castle in a novel by Bram Stoker.
