Geocache Description:

This is an easy traditional cache near the Temple of Saint Sava, one of the landmarks of Belgrade. Be careful, there are a lot of muggles around, especially during daylight. Feel free to visit the Temple. The plateau also houses the National library of Serbia and a statue of the leader of the First Serbian Uprising, Karadjordje Petrovic.

The cache is a micro plastic container wrapped in a freezer bag to keep it dry, it originally holds a logbook, please bring your own pencil. Please return the cache into the bag after signing the logbook.

The Temple of Saint Sava is an Orthodox church in Belgrade, Serbia and one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world. The church is dedicated to Saint Sava, founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church and an important figure in medieval Serbia. It is built on the Vracar plateau, on the location where the people believed his remains were burned in 1595 by the Ottoman Empire's Sinan Pasha. From its location, it dominates the Belgrade's cityscape, and it is one of the most monumental buildings in the city.
