Fishers Hide-Out is renewed and active!!! After 4 years the cache is again hidden in nature between Nootdorp and Pijnacker.
The old cacheplace is now water, but the new cache has an even better hidingplace! Watch out for the musquitos and nettles!

This renewed Fishers Hide-out cache is hidden in Staatsbosbeheer property (with their permission) and you'll be walking in nature-area. You can go of the track if you have respect for the flora and fauna, but do this only when necessary. Respect also the roles on the sign of Staatsbosbeheer (dogs can run free). Don't go into farmland and look out when crossing roads (if you come from Nootdorp).
You can park at the old startingplace of the first Fishers hide-out cache, at the windmill in Nootdorp and drink a cup of coffee at the mills' restaurant 'de Vang'. The mill is not a necessary startingplace, but the coffee in the Vang is great!

Follow the biketrail until an entrance into the forest, don't go on working area, it is not necessary.
If you don't want to start in Nootdorp, drive as close to the cache-coordinates as you can and start you're search.
You can take your dog(s) with you the whole way, all year long.
The old Fishers Hide-Out was a multi-cache. Now you only have to find the cache-place itself. You cannot enter the forest with your car and officialy byking is forbidden there. If you start out wrong, you can always try to swim, but... walking is better and dryer too. Scating is doable until the last part.
The stash is in a different position compared to the old stash.
The old one was buried on a small and long peace of land, that no longer exists.
Notice: pointing out the cachelocation was tricky, every time our 3 gps's gave us different waypoints. There is a lot of water and iron in the ground, so maiby you'll have to search a bit around. Don't worry, fishers don't look in that direction! Only some animals of the forest do. ;-)
You can leave the stone trail at the end to follow the trail to the fishers hide-out. When in the spring birds have nests at the edge of the water, walk as far from them as you can so they won't be disturbed. The last part can be a bit wild, put on long trousers and boots in wet or damp periods and look out for mosquito's! The environment is being developed into a larger nature area.
Ook voor degenen die de oude Fishers Hide-Out cache hebben gevonden: deze cache is een nieuwe uitdaging op een bekende maar toch nieuwe plek... dus ga opnieuw de uitdaging aan.
Hetzelfde terrein op het laatst, dus broeken en laarzen aan! Doornstruiken, brandnetels en hoog riet zorgen ervoor dat vissers maar ook jullie aan het oog van de wereld worden onttrokken. Denk je dat je hem weet te vinden? Succes dan. We lezen wel over jullie stoeipartijen met het onkruid.
