Geocache Description:

This is the work of my mom – she has been doing this for a good 5 years now. She has been interview by various magazines and news papers. Please feel free to pop in if you are interested about this…or just pop in to say hi. I have recently introduced my mom and step dad to caching. CACHE IS EASILY REACHED - PLEASE DON'T WALK IN THE VEGETABLE GARDEN. Thanks.

Most of us plant vegetables in our gardens with the intention of growing food for ourselves. However, Healthy & Free (Pick & Eat) is on the pavement for everyone to see and eat. Here we grow vegetables for the dozens of people who walk past the Parktown North home on their way to catch a bus or taxi in Rosebank. It's a small thing to do, but imagine if we all grew vegetables on our pavements? The pavements belong to everybody. If each house planted spinach amongst their roses or brinjals next to their flowers, Joburg would become known as a generous city. Please take a photo of the garden so we can see what's in season. Mugglers around - stealth is required so have a good look around to make sure it's safe. Avoid peak hours if possible. Cache is in a double container for easy retrieval and replacing.
