Geocache Description:

Our first attempt at placing a cache and perhaps we are a little optimistic in trying a series of 5 caches! The series is on a loop walk in Crowthorne Wood starting from the car park in Devil's Highway. We have been granted the kind permission of the Forestry Commission.

There is a car park on Devil's Highway at N 51.22.327, W 000.47.156

All 5 caches are close to forest tracks which may be muddy after rain. We would advise good footwear if it is likely to be wet. You do not need to trek through undergrowth unless you particularly enjoy doing so. In some places the tracks climb but not very steeply. The distance of the whole loop is around one and a half miles if you do it in order (and depending on the route you take) but could be considerably shortened and made easier, if you choose, by missing out DMC4.

It is suitable for bikes, dogs, children who can walk the distance and all-terrain buggies but not small buggies or wheelchairs.

This is popular dog-walking territory so subterfuge may be needed.
