Here are the rules: in order to meet the requirements for the
10-10-10 Challenge, you must log a minimum of 10 caches on 10 days
in 10 out of 12 months. What does this mean?
It means that you must have found at least 10 caches on a day
you wish to count towards this challenge. You can find more than 10
for a day to count, but less than 10 doesn't count. The 10 days do
not have to be consecutive days. For example, you can choose
to find 10 caches on November 3, 12 on November 5, 10 on November
11, 16 on November 16, etc. As long as there are 10 days
(minimum... again, you can find 10+ caches on more than 10 days in
a given month), you're set.
The 10 months can be any 10 months in a 12-month period. If you
start in November, then you should complete the challenge the
following October, with your caches found in any 10 of those 12
months.
Now, a few guidelines:
- Previous finds do count. You spent Labor Day Weekend
finding 15 caches a day for four days, then found 10+ on six other
days in September? Great! Yes, you found those prior to the
publication of this challenge, but you still found them, so they
count.
- The furthest back you can go with your previous caches is
January 2010. That way, you would complete your 10-10-10 Challenge
in October 2010.
- Event caches do not count towards the 10-10-10 Challenge. We
want your caches to be something you had to actually go out and
seek, not something where you sit down and swapped geocaching
tales.
- Other challenge caches do not count towards the 10-10-10
Challenge. And the 10-10-10-Challenge doesn't count towards
itself.
To show that you have met the requirements for this Challenge, send
us a message listing the 10 months during which you completed the
10-10-10 Challenge and the days on which you found the qualifying
caches. For each of your qualifying days, list the first cache you
found that counts towards this challenge (name and GC code,
please!). You don't have to list all 10 caches per day per month,
unless you want to send us a really long email with 1,000 caches
listed. Once we have confirmed your 10-10-10 Challenge has been
met, you can go out and get this cache and log its find. The cache
is at the posted coordinates.
Thanks, have a wonderful 10-10-10, and enjoy the challenge!
