It's a short easy hike to a cache location that gives views over a cholla patch, Sorrento Valley, Torrey Pines, and the lower end of Penasquitos Canyon and on to the sea. The cache location has been here for years, feel free to stop and take a nap. Look out for rattlesnakes. If you're really lucky you might spot a few deer around here.
