Our Cache was placed by the faculty of a nearby place of learning as a "launch pad" for travel bugs that we use to teach the students about the technology related to geocaching, as well as the geology and geography of other places. We try to have a bug ready for launch every two weeks or so. Many bugs have specific destinations, so we are always hoping to appeal to geocachers with "connections" to lots of other caches.
This cache is located in a great spot for someone in search of a nice flat leg stretch area located on the edge of a quiet residential neighborhood next to agricultural fields. Plenty of places to walk the dog or anyone else who needs walking. Once you park, the cache is just steps from the road. If you want more exercise, it's exactly a 0.75 mile flat walk around the new sidewalk that borders the middle school to the south. Many muggles possible if PE classes are on the field, but otherwise a comfortable, easy access point literally steps from paved road and very easy parking or turnaround opportunities for cachers who drive large vehicles. Great "break" between San Francisco and LA/Santa Barbara area. No gas, restrooms or retail near cache...lots of that stuff up near the 101, which is about 1.5 miles away.
Difficulty based upon befuddling street layout in this neighborhood, owing to the footprint of the middle school. Watch for teenaged muggles.
