Alien MacGyver
An alien vessel crash landed. The aliens perished but they left
parts of a beacon that you can reconstruct in order to find a cache
of supplies left for visitors from their planet.
At the posted coordinates you will find the tools you need. Take
the tools in their container and go to stage 1. Follow the
instructions to find the cache. Then return the tools. If the tools
are missing there may be another caching group ahead. You can join
them or wait for the tools to return.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
The tools are used to find the cache they are NOT for
trading.
In 1948 an alien vessel from Zeta Reticuli which is a binary
star system located about 39 light-years away from earth landed
near Milton,Ontario.
Their mission was to assemble a landing beacon for future
travelers from their planet. The aliens used materials they found
in the area to help them reconstruct their beacon. Unfortunately,
as with many field repairs, the results were not sufficient to
guide additional visitors from the Zeta Reticuli system. You can
however use parts from their beacon to find a cache of supplies
left behind for future travelers.
It has been said that light travels in a straight PATH unless
you bend it. Visitors from the Zeta Reticuli system could travel at
the speed of light. As a mere mortal you can’t. This means
that you will need at least one partner in order to find the alien
cache.
We do know that there are four intermediate steps that must be
accomplished sequentially in order to complete the beacon. You will
be required to mate the alien beacon parts with the mounting
locations found in the vicinity of the crashed lander. Be careful
as the aliens were confused by Earth’s gravity. This
confusion resulted in the creation of mounts that accept the beacon
parts in more than one direction.
The Zeta Reticuli system is very close to their star. The AAA
fuel cells provided were never intended for extended use in cold
weather. You may find the fuel cells depleted in colder weather.
Bringing back up fuel cells is recommended.
NOTE:
Sorry for the confusion folks there was an error in the Launch
kits for the BFL event. The cache page is correct so be sure to
follow those instructions.
