Caches sur les arbres remarquables en Loire-Atlantique
En 1628, le roi Louis XIII fait route vers La Rochelle pour aller y combattre la rébellion protestante et, faisant halte avec son armée à Corcoué-sur-Logne, se repose et se restaure sous la frondaison d'un gros chêne.
L'anecdote est peut-être vraie, elle est en tout cas possible, puisque ce magnifique arbre qui porte aujourd'hui le nom du roi est effectivement âgé d'au moins quatre siècles.
In 1628, King Louis XIII is going to La Rochelle to go and fight the Protestant rebellion and, halting his army at Corcoué sur Logne, rests and restores itself under the canopy of a large oak.
The anecdote may be true, it is certainly possible, since this wonderful tree who now bears the name of the king is actually aged at least four centuries.
