07. Sep. 2011 - Upgrade vom Micro auf Small - Ein Hin-und-Mit für den stressgeplagten Großstadt-Geocacher.

Bis auf den letzten Griff ist diese Cache Rollstuhltauglich. Also bitte einen Freund mitbringen.

Zuerst auf Deutsch, then in English.

Lass euch von Google-Maps nicht abschrecken. Seit ein paar Jahre wurden die Gleise entfernt und das Areal neu gestaltet und diese "White Elephant" gebaut, Koordinaten sollten plus-minus 3 meter genau sein. In zwischen ist auch mir klar dass 2 Kameras vorort sind, aber mir wurde versichert, dass sie auf der Einfahrt schauen und nicht den Cache. Also, keine Angst, bitte.

Am 9. Sep. 2009 wurde die ZOB geöffnet. Meine Meinung nach ist die Architektur gelungen, aber Arcktektur is kein Garant für Umsatz. Leider kämpfen mehrere Laden mit Überleben und im zwei Jahre haben 6 Geschäfte das Handtuch schon geworfen.

Tipp für Eltern: Vom ersten Stock kann man mit die Kinder die Züge gut beobachten.

Achtung: Am Freitags und Samstags Spätabends gibt es immer viel Betrieb wegen der Disko "Neuraum". Gelegentlich gibt es auch Progamme am Donnerstags und Sonntags. Also, bitte entsprechend plannen oder Stealth auf hochbetrieb schalten.

It's time for the Octoberfest, so I figure several English speaking vistors might also be geocachers. So, here goes:
Don't let Google-Maps mislead you. A couple of years ago the tracks were removed and this areal with the new "Central Bus Terminal" was built up. The co-ordinates should be fairly accurate. They are not off by more than 3 meters. In the mean time I have learned that 2 cameras are very close to the cache. But I a friend who knows better assured me that they are observing only the entrance and not the cache.

Tip for parents: From the 2nd floor you and your children have a good view of the train yard.

Attention: On Fridays and Saturdays there are lots of young folk running around here. That's because of the disco "Neuraum". On some Thursdays and Sundays there is also an event going on. So, please plan you visit and if you do go looking for the cache then just turn on "Stealth Mode".

If you are walking around looking for the cache then it is best to approach from the street that runs parallel to the traintracks on the north side. The street is named "Arnulfstrasse".

Public Transportation: All S-Bahns heading east or west stop at the "Hackerbrücke". From there it is only a short walk to the cache.
