What better way to celebrate Fall than to get together with your
NoVAGO friends, old and new? We'll be hosting the event at
Occoquan Regional Park in southern Fairfax County, Virginia.
A park map can be downloaded here.
Special Note: NoVAGO events are open to cachers of all
experience levels. We particularly invite new cachers to come so
they can meet cachers from all around the region!
This spacious park is scenically located on the Occoquan River
diagonally across from the Town of Occoquan. It offers 400 acres of
recreational space and a touch of the past with its historic brick
kilns and the memory of imprisoned women suffragists.
From the park you can follow the Cross County Trail to Laurrel
Hill park or cross the river to the beautiful and historic Town of
Occoquan. There are several geoaches in the park, including two
Terracaches.

Important
Information
In addition to many caches available in the park and surrounding
areas, there are great hiking trails and mountain bike trails
nearby at Laurel Hill. Pets are permitted provided they are
leashed at all times.
Please post your Will Attend log with:
1. What you intend to bring. If you don't know now,
please post it as the event gets closer so we can keep track of who
is bringing what and try to fill in holes. A list will be posted
periodically for you to see what others are bringing. No dish,
dessert or drink will get turned away! All food is welcome! and
2. How many people you are RSVP'ing for (so we can get an
accurate head-count)
* Please do not log travel bugs into the event and
leave them on a table to be retrieved by other cachers. If you'd
like to trade TBs, please do so person to person. This way they can
all be accounted for and none get left behind, listed on the event
page and then deemed to be MIA.
Pot Luck
Information:
* The food is potluck. NoVAGO will supply hamburgers, hot
dogs, and Italian Sausages/Brats. Side dishes are provided by event
attendees! Keep in mind that even if there are 100 people showing
up, you do not need to bring enough to feed 100 people! If
100 people bring enough to feed 100 people, that's way too
much food, even for us! The list of food (as of 11/18/10) is
below:
List of Geocachers and food they are bringing:

Additional
Information:
1. There are quite a few caches in the surrounding area Click Here to keep you busy
before and after the event! Rumor has it that there will
even be a new cache published for the Event and other surprises
like a Garmin Chirp demonstration.
2. Lawn chairs, blankets, etc. should be considered in case we
all can't get a seat at a picnic table.
3. If you bring Travel Bugs or Geocoins, please exchange them
amongst yourselves rather than leave them on a table for trading.
They tend to get lost that way and we all know how frustrating that
can be.
4. Feel free to take photos during the event and add them to the
event page in your logs! You can also post them to the gallery on
our website after the event.
5. Please keep this Event on your Watch List, and check back
often for any updates.
.................AS ALWAYS...A GOOD TIME IS GUARANTEED!!!
