Welcome to Sasolburg Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

ROTSIP: No response from the owner.
The promised visit by the CO has not happened, and it seems unlikely that the listing will be Enabled soon. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email, quoting the GC number), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Thanks for the past fun.

Geocache Description:

Sasolburg is situated in the northern most corner of the Free State Province on the southern banks of the Vaalriver, and forms part of the Vaal Triangle. The town owes its existence to the Petro-Chemical Industry (SASOL). SASOL was the first chemical factory in this region and others like NATREF, Polifin and Dow Plastics followed. The town was established in the early 1950's in order to provide housing and facilities for SASOL (South African Coal, Oil & Gas) employees. On the 14 August 1952 Sasolburg obtained its first residents and today Sasolburg houses more than 78000 people.
