Koldum neboli Kolektivni dum je 11 patrovy bytovy komplex se 352 byty postaveny mezi lety 1948 az 1959 predevsim pro delniky Stalinovych zavodu (dnesniho Chemopetrolu v Zaluzi u Litvinova). Hlavni myslenkou teto stavby byl kolektivni zivot jeho najemniku - byty mely slouzit pouze k odpocinku. Stravovani, zaopatrovani deti, spolecenske a sportovni vyziti meli obyvatele Koldumu zajistene spolecne v jeho centralni casti. Tato idea v praxi dlouho nefungovala a lide si zacali zahy zrizovat v bytech vlastni kuchynky. Dnes spolecné prostory puvodni ucely neplni a nachazi se zde hotel s restauraci a obchod. Okoli Koldumu nicmene dal uspesne plni rekreacni funkci. Je zde koupaliste, tenisove kurty a sportovni hala.

Koldum alias Colective house is 11 storey complex of 352 flats, that was build up between years 1848-1959 for workers of chemical factory in Litvínov (Chemopetrol factory). The main idea of this building was a colective live of its renters - the flats was intended only for the rest. For alimentation, charge of childerns, colective and sport livinig was itended the colective central parts of Koldum. This idea did not work in use and the renters started quickly with building of small kitchens in their flats. The colective facilities does not work today, but there is a hotel, restaurant and a shop. The surroundings of Koldum use the recreation function as well - here is a bathing pool, tennis-courts and sports hall. More informations (in czech) and pictures you can find here, other sources here.
