Byglandsfjord stasjon var endepunktet for Setesdalsbanen som trafikkerte strekningen Grovane - Byglandsfjord inntil banen ble nedlagt i 1962. Stasjonsbygningen er oppført i dragestil og brukes i dag som bibliotek. 
Den er tegnet av arkitekt Paul Armin Due og oppført 1895.
Hele stasjonsområdet er fra 2002 fredet etter paragraf i kulturminneloven for områdefredning. Fredningen gjelder alle bygningene: Stasjonsbygningens eksteriør og interiør, privatbygning, lokomotivstall, godshus, plattform og lasterampe, dessuten et område rundt stasjonen.
Området bak stasjonsområdet er også verdt et besøk. Det er en idyllisk liten småbåthavn ved fjorden, med en lang brygge der flere benker er plassert.
Det er en microcache, ta med egen penn Cachen vil ikke være tilgjengelig når det er snø.

Byglandsfjord station was the end of the Setesdalen railroad that went between Grovane and Byglandsfjord until it was shut down in 1962. The dragoon-styled station-building is now used as a library. It was designed by the architect Paul Armin and built in 1895. The whole area was protected in 2002, following the cultural protection law. This applies for all the buildings, including both the interior and the exterior, and for the area surrounding the station. The area between the station and along the lake is also worth a look, with its idyllic little docks with benches.
