Geocache Description:

You're looking for a large, cammo'd coffee container found just off the trail near the trailhead of the Pacific Crest Trail on Bouquet Canyon Road. There are four metal bike guards across the trail between the trailhead and the road along the ridge line. You'll also come across a wildlife water trough about halfway up the trail.

You'll be hiking in sage, oak, and manzanita....beautiful vistas can be seen as you ascend the trail. These are the Sierra Pelona Mountains in the Angeles NF. There's parking in the large pull-out at the trailhead on Bouquet Canyon Road...but think an Adventure Pass might be required (25 bucks at any sporting goods store and it's good for a year). The Pacific Crest Trail signs are clearly labeled on both sides of the highway so you can hike towards the south or towards the north....the PCT stretches from the California/Mexico border to the Washington/Canada border. More trails, maps, links, and info can be found at: www.localhikes.com and www.LAMountains.com and www.hikesantaclarita.com. Be safe, be prepared, and Happy Caching !
