This is a multi-cache with a twist.
The Cache is located along a stretch of footpath/bridleway in the Surrey Hills below Abinger Common. It can be accessed directly where the footpath crosses Raikes Lane near “The Volunteer Pub”, or as part of a longer walk through the large network of footpaths in the area. It is possible to ride a trail bike to the cache sections. The route is generally flat, with only one slight incline at the beginning.
The Cache is composed of two or three sections. The first is a 35mm film canister containing the coordinates for the main cache. The main cache is a Tupperware box, containing a small wooden puzzle box. If you can figure out how to open the puzzle, great! Sign the logbook inside and add another cache to your list. If you can’t figure it out, printed on the box are the coordinates to another 35mm film canister containing the instructions. The canister should be stocked with instruction sheets, so please feel free to take a copy.
Please do not force the box open – if opens easily if you know how – and please close the box regarding the “This Side Up” sticker.
All sections of the cache are a short walk away from one another, and it should take around half an hour to complete (less if you can open the box first time!). Inside the main cache there is a logbook, pencil and a few small swaps. Congratulations to "gagesoutandabout" for the First to Find!
Cars can be parked on the wide road corner outside the pub, at N 51º 12.116 W 0º 25.149.
