Geocache Description:

Located at the tiny but scenic Signal Oak Park north of Baldwin City, Kansas.

The white oak that once stood at this location high on a hill north of Baldwin City was used to hang lanterns to signal the residents of Lawrence Kansas that pro-slavery forces were approaching.

This is a tiny park on a gravel road north of town. The view from this overlook is spectacular any time of year but is especially nice in the fall when the trees are turning colors. You should not have too much trouble finding the cache. Be careful to cover the cache well before you leave.

The original cache box held several postcards which was the theme for this cache.
