Bulldozed up from Bear Gap through the cold mist and tossed the cache on a hill-top, sort of out of sight. Hung the GPS for 9 minutes to get an average, hands being too cold to do otherwise, and skidded away down to the PCT.
Contains Bonzo Dog Band CD case with a random, Chinese lettered, music CD picked up in travels in Taiwan. Seemed as appropriate as anything. Oh. And a dice cup, as one might expect.
A limeriku (tm):
There once was a gap named Bear,
who had a cache 6 thou in the air.
The cache it did shine
by flashlight at nine.
The car ... ... without spare.
Update July 28, 2020: I did not expect to return to this cache in my lifetime, but accidentally did today, coming up the Silver Creek Trail from the ski area. Such nice comments in the log!
I shoulda brought some epoxy glue to re-attach the reflectors. If this cache is in your plans ... listen to that distant noise in your ear: eeeepoxeeee...epoxy...epxy...epx...px...x...
No one has swapped the Chinese CD! Sigh. We should always carry the 12 essentials. You know: Map, Compass, CD, Fire Starter, blah, blah, Food, Water. And Glue.
