GeoRedheads: Sadly Kermie is toast again. This was always my favorite of our caches as its camo fit in very well with its environment. However the drought at done too much damage to his watering hole - and it would be a let down to replace him with any lesser container. Sorry JSQuack - you're right, he's gone.

Bye bye Kernie. Good luck with Hollywood.

Geocache Description:

Part of the East Bay GC Challenge, small cache, hidden in the Mt Diablo State Park, and requires a short hike on one of our favorite trails near Rock City.

This cache is part of the East Bay GC Challenge. You can find just this cache if you want but if you hope to find the final cache in this series, Lucky 13! (GC2DPJF), you'll need the code that is on the log sheet for this cache (for example, k = 7) plus the codes from the rest of the Dirty Dozen. Since it's been a few years since The Muppet Show and the Muppet Movies, most of us have had a lot of extra time on our hands, and have taken up GeoCaching. We love it, chasing down hidden treasures in the mountains and swamps.

As you might expect, Miss Piggy is not a fan, and doesn't like to search for anything, unless it's in Gucci. So I frequently hide pieces of her jewelry as Cache-Shwag.

MP: Oh, Kermie, I wish you wouldn't do that. You know that Stars like MOI always need to keep all of my precious jewels ready, in case a Pro-Duce-Er stops by to take notice. My agent has shown me a script for a new movie, ready for next year!

KTF: Oh Piggy, you haven't had a movie in over 10 years, and that movie proposal is a pipe dream. Anyway, this cache is Log Only, so you won't be missing anything, except maybe your dignity!

MP: Oh Kermie, oooooh! I'm leaving you - you can go spend time with your caching buddies for the rest of this season!

KTF: Finally, caching morning, noon, and night, with my buddies. Let's go to Mount Diablo!

Now I just hope that Beaker doesn't figure out that I hid his Lab Coat in the swamp hidden in an ammo can!

NEW LOCATION! Moved Kermie up the hill a bit, a good climb off of the main trail, but still easily accessed by following a side trail.

Cache is heavily camouflaged mini, so please return carefully to it's original location, and take care to replace it as well or better then how you originally found it. It contains only a log, with special EBGCC letter code, and no space for trading items -- please BYOP.

Additionally, Mt Diablo State Park charges for cars to enter the park, so if you are driving, there will be a $7 to park for this cache (your rate may vary, depending on the state of the state budget at time of visit).

Update Nov 30, 2011: The Muppets have a new Movie out, and Miss Piggy is talking to Kermie again. Since everyone is apparently happy now, we've decided to make the cache a little simpler to find... with a few hints:

Yes, he's at the big climbing rock, and he is inside one of the holes.
He's easily accessible from the bottom - there is no reason to go up ontop of the rock, or even climb into one of the holes.
He's camo'd. Can't state this one enough... And given the environment he lives in, what would that camo look like?
