You are looking for a magnetic nano. Remember your pen/pencil!
My favourite view of the reservoir, with Frankley Beeches in the distance. I seem to remember there was a pay telescope situated here when I was a child in the early 70s, although I might have imagined it! The water is 60 feet deep at this end of the reservoir, all the way from the Elan Valley in Wales (fed by gravity alone).
The sailing club is to your right, I remember sailing a GP14 on here during the 1980s; although the reservoir is 2/3 of a mile long, the wind used to take a small boat from one to the other very quickly! I also remember how cold the water was too, on the many occasions that I fell in.
This spot is popular with local teenagers, but can be quite quiet at times too (especially if it is raining as hard as when I placed it!). It's a great spot to visit if you've not been here before.
*Congrats to Butttercup and Stormystorm, joint FTF*
