Geocache Description:

This trip will take you from "Turheisa" in the suburb of Ålesund, called Spjelkavik, up to Rambjøra. The view is breathtaking. I recommend that you wear real outdoor clothing, ment for hiking. You start on a good trail. from waypoint S5 you will leave the main trail. Go north from this waypoint and follow the red signs on the trees.
Good hiking shoes are recommended. It can be wet.

One more thing: DO NOT FORGET TO BRING WITH YOU YOUR CAMERA!

The cache is located about 300 meters above sea level, in not too hard terrain - quite easy walk. I use 30-40 minutes from the parking area, total distance up and down to the parking area is abt. 5,5 kilometers. If you will enjoy the trip you need at least 1 hour each way + breaks, if necessary. Bring with you som food and water. You will need it at the cache area - beautifull view! Also if you are in to skydiving/parachuting/paragliding there is a ramp you can use to jump of the mountain. If you bring with you kids it could be wise to put them on a lead/leash due to the steep cliff. There are no fence or other protection to keep you from falling off the cliff - you are out in the real world. One wrong step on the edge will hurt you....

The cache contains some trade items. There are of course also a pencil and log book, do not remove these. And naturally, you will find an FTF-certificate there too! This can you take with you home.

When you have visited this place at daylight I can highly recommend it at dawn, you will have an beautiful view over Ålesund with all its lights. Remember a torch. You can also put up a tent in the area so you can spend a night here.
Walk westwards from the cache for some nice sceneries. Walk back the same way you came, or you can continue to "Bigtonhytta" and go back to "Turheisa" along the mountain ridge. The track is good marked with signs.
This area is also a popular skiing area.

Info: "Turheisa" is an popular skilift which also is open during summertime, but not at regular basis - normaly on saturday/sundays.
"Bigtonhytta" is an private owned cabin lying at a lake/tarn called "Blindheimsvatnet". Here you can swim (if temeperature allows it) and even drink the water!

Have a nice walk!
