Vrkoc
Rybník Vrkoc, který leží mezi obcemi Ivan a Nová Ves,
jižne od Pohorelic, je nejvetším rybníkem v soustave pohorelických rybníku a 21. nejvetším rybníkem v CR (wikipedie). Rozkládá se na ploše 156 ha, prumerná hloubka je pouze 1.1 m
a objem vody približne 1,7 mil. m3.
Rybník nemá vlastní povodí (jedná se o tzv. bocní rybník) a je napájen z Hornoleského náhonu, který vodu bere z reky Jihlavy
u jezu v obci Cvrcovice, dále protéká Pohorelicemi, Novou Vsí
a vlévá se zpet do reky Jihlavy pred obcí Ivan.
Byl vybudován v 15. – 16. století; v 19. století byl zrušen a jeho plocha byla obhospodarovaná jako louky a sady. Po roce 1948 bylo rozhodnuto o jeho obnove; zkolaudován byl v roce 1953.
>Pred každorocním výlovem se rybník 17 dní vypouští. Zpetné napuštení trvá asi 5 týdnu (dle množství vody v náhone).
Ke keši se mužete dostat odbocením ze silnice Brno – Mikulov (R52 / E461) smerem na Ivan. Auto mužete zanechat na waypointu GC2DWB0 Parking. Dále se vydejte vyšlapanou cestickou, která zacíná vlevo bezprostredne za mostem ve smeru od silnice na Ivan k waypointu GC2DWB0 Parking (ve smeru od waypointu GC2DWB0 Parking k silnici vpravo). Dale po hrazi rybnika.
The pond Vrkoc is situated between villages Ivan and Nova Ves, south of town Pohorelice; it‘s the biggest pond in the system of pohorelice ponds and is the 21st biggest pond in the Czech Republic. Its surface area is 156 ha (385 ac.) and capacity
1 700 000 m3 (382 000 000 gallons UK). Its average depth is only 1.1 m. (3.6 ft.).
The pond hasn’t its own river basin – it’s a side pond. It’s feeded by Hornolesky raceway. This raceway take water from the river Jihlava by a wier in front of the village Cvrcovice. It goes on through the city Pohorelice and the village Nova Ves and flows back to the river Jihlava in front of village Ivan.
The pond was built in the 15th – 16th century; in the 19th century it was canceled and its area was used as a hayfields and a orchards. After the year 1948 it was decided about a renewal. The pond has its final inspection in the year 1953.
The Pond is emptied for 17 days before the yearly fishing out. It takes for about 5 weeks to fill this pond with water back (depending on the amout of water in the raceway).
The way to cache leads from the highway Brno – Mikulov (R52 / E461) branching to road towards the village Ivan. You can left your car on the waypoint GC2DWB0 Parking. Next you have to follow a beaten track which starts left directly behind the bridge from the road to Ivan to the waypoint GC2DWB0 Parking (in direction from the waypoint GC2DWB0 Parking to the road to Ivan right). Next along the path of the pond dam.
