SOS – Series Of Series – continuing my series
highlighting different series themes.
RTB – Restoring The Balance – this was a theme introduced in the south east I believe, where devious caches were placed as traditional caches instead of puzzle caches – the idea being that you scratched your head at the cache location rather than before you left the house. It was also meant to restore the balance between traditional cache icons in a certain area where a plethora of puzzle cache icons had popped up.
NTM – Near The Meet – these three caches were placed
near the location of Deepdiggingmole’s first event

Ensure you read ALL of the description – if you don’t
you will miss important information which will mean you will not be able to complete the series. This is a mini series of three caches - the third can only be found if you are successful in finding the first two – however finding the first two is not straightforward – before you find the cache itself you have to go to a number of locations where you will be given the co-ordinates for the next stage.
The first two caches hold the co-ordinates for the start of the third cache, again entailing a mini trail.
In total there are 4 clue locations and 3 cache locations
This is the first – parking at given co-ordinates – you are then required to go to the first stage where you will have to work out how to retrieve the co-ordinates for the next stage
– likewise at the second stage and then finally the cache itself – the cache is a 35mm film canister (changed from screw-top Tupperware container when replaced on 10 Aug 2019).
I will expect that you will do all three of these caches in one
walk which will take you under the A21, round past the cottage
hospital (yes! go up to the buildings, turn left to the end passed
the ‘on call’ doctors and you will find a footpath),
then back over the A21 and on past the Vauxhall Inn
In order to complete the series however you will need some
tools/equipment (in fact you will not be able to complete it
without them – so ensure you have with you
A metal coat hanger
A bottle of water (at least one litre)
A flathead screwdriver
A magnet
A piece of string
be aware these may not all be needed for the purpose they are
designed for – thinking out of the box is essential here
