The water for the Athabasca Falls comes from the Columbia Glacier. They are the most powerful and breathtaking falls in the Rocky Mountains. The Athabasca River thunders through a narrow gorge where the walls have been smoothed and potholes have been created by the sheer force of the rushing water carrying sand and rock.
In accordance with Jasper National Park guidelines no trading items or things that might attract wildlife are to be left in this cache.
Very high muggle area in the summer.
