Warnham Walk 6 - Blackthorn Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Humber Rock and Gravel Horsham: Time for this series to make way for something new. Thanks to everyone who found it (not quite 200 finds for this one as it disappeared a few times over the 5 years) and for your nice logs. I hope the new series is at least as well received. [:)]

Geocache Description:

This is one of 12 caches set on Mrs HRGH's favourite local walk; approximately 4 miles in the countryside around the Sussex village of Warnham (some paths can get quite muddy at times). There is also a Church Micro in Warnham which can be included at the start of the circuit; the Sussex Oak pub opposite this might be a good place to end up!

Each cache is at or close to a different type of tree (hence the names). If your knowledge of trees is not great, the hides are still easy, or you can look at the Woodland Trust's British Trees web site to help identification.

There is free parking available on the road in the village near the church (although this tends to be busy) or at the Village Hall car park at N51 05.380, W0 21.000.

After passing the pond, go through one gate and look for the cache before you go through the next one. Again you should get excellent close views of the deer here, and as you move on up the hill after leaving this cache. Dogs should be kept on leads in the deer park.
