I was surprised to discover that this station has a claim to
fame. "In 1951, Brimsdown railway station was used as the set for
part of the Alexander Mackendrick film The Man in the White Suit,
starring Alec Guinness (the station where Sidney Stratton tries to
buy a ticket near the end of the film)" (Wikipedia entry citing the
Internet Movie Database).
The nearby pub bears the name of Izaac Walton, The Compleat
Angler, but I don't know if there's any relationship.
Congratulations to Ralavendrel for FTF.
Now in a slightly less busy area but stealth is still required
during a tactile search. Please be careful not to drop it as
retrieval will be difficult.
