Geocache Description:

When: 10-10-2010 @ 1:30pm

Where: Maudslay State Park in Newburyport at the picnic tables by the river

What to bring? ... Nothing Just you and your geo friends.

Event Location - N 42° 49.521 W 070° 55.882

LeftyFB proposed to Deviousdragen while caching, this is where it all started, I thought it would be fitting to send them off at a Cache Event in their honor at this very park he proposed and on the very day, time and location they will be marry

The Proposal

Mike aka LeftyFB and Sara aka Deviousdragen planned to go for a walk at Maudslay State Park to do some geocaching. Unknown to Sara, Mike had a all together different reason for wanting to Geocache on this day, He was devising a plan to propose to Sara while combining geocaching a passion they both enjoy by slipping the ring he had buried deep in his pocket in to a cache and letting Sara find the cache and wouldn't you know the first cache was a micro, and the ring would not fit..... So off to the next cache he went with the ring still firmly deep in his pocket again another micro , so off they went again back to the beaten path to the next cache. Emerging from the woods was a nice bench along the Merrimack river and he knew, this was the spot and pulled out the ring and the rest is history.

LeftyFB and Deviousdragen

Remember the wedding and Geo Event are separate, lets keep it that way ;0 - The Geo Event is up on the hill at the picnic tables over looking the river.

I will be raffling off 2 Custom "Tying the knot on 10-10-10" Geo-coins, designed by the Bride and Groom them selves LeftyFB and Deviousdragen , check the geocoin out in the photo gallery

There is a $2 Parking fee to get in the park.

Also Groundspeak is on a mission, and you can help them fulfill their ambitious goal to set a new record of the most geocachers logging a cache in one day. Doesn’t have to be at this event, But get out there and Cache!.

Here's what Groundspeak had to say. "Plan to Go Geocaching on 10-10-10 We want to see how many geocachers can go geocaching on a single day! We've chosen 10-10-10, since the date represents 10 years of geocaching and 10 years of Groundspeak in 2010. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your worst enemy (if that's what it takes) and let's see if we can beat the previous record of 56,654 accounts logging on April 18, 2010. Even one log counts since we are counting how many accounts log a cache rather than the number of caches logged."

Please use the listed park area and walk in to the event, No Bushwacking, we do not want to disturb the wedding as it will be in progress
