1. You cannot ride a bike on the boardwalk; strollers and wheelchairs are OK.
2. Portable toilets (2) have been located in the park at the end of the paved drive.
Park anywhere in the parking lot, and look for the “ARCH” over the entrance to the park, it contains the name of the park, and you will need to use this to determine your 2nd set of coordinates. Your journey will take you on a 2 mile round trip walk. Please note that the park is open from sunrise to sunset. You will need to bring insect repellent in the warmer months.
To assist the handicapped with your decision to hunt: The 2 mile hike can be driven. It's possible to drive close to most locations needed including the final cache location.
You can take any of the numerous trails through the gates to get to all locations. You cannot get lost because the park is bordered by private property on two sides, the Intracoastal Waterway and Highway 179.
Using the name of the park, label the words #1-4, then count the number of letters in each word, and make note of them.
Coordinates for the second stop are N 33 52.A9B W 078 35.C44.
A= number of letters in the 2nd word.
B=number of letters in the 1st word.
C=number of letters in the 4th word.
At the location of the second set of coordinates, you will need to answer the following questions to fill in the 3 missing numbers of the coordinates for the third stop.
Coordinates for the third stop are: N 33 52.DE8, W 78 35.4F4
1. Find the Vereen that died on his 60th birthday. D=the day of the month that he was born and died on.
2. Find the Vereen that made salt. E=the number of letters in his wife’s first name.
3. Count all of the statues. F=the number of statues here. Think outside the “box”
Coordinates for the FINAL location are: N 33 52.GH0, W 78 35.IJ0.
At the third location, answer the following to help fill in G H I J of the cache coordinates for the FINAL.
1. How many posts support the roof of the nearby structure? I=number of posts. J = the number of posts +1 (plus 1)
2. Now follow the boardwalk to the end of the pier, and find the number on the green channel marker.
G = the number from the channel marker -1 (minus 1) H = the number from the channel marker -5 (minus 5)
