Tato jednoducha earth cache vam predstavi lecive mineralni prameny v laznich Luhacovice. [EN] This simple Earth cache will introduce the healing mineral springs in Luhacovice spa.

Mineral Springs

[CZ] Nejvetsi a nejhezci moravske lazne naleznete cca 15 km jihovychodne od Zlina. Luhacovicke mineralni vody jsou povazovany za jedny z nejucinnejsich v Evrope nejen pro vysoky obsah mineralnich latek, ale take pro vynikajici proplyneni volnym oxidem uhlicitym. Luhacovice jsou lazne z dlouhou tradici lecby dychacich cest, traviciho ustroji, diabetu a pohyboveho aparatu.

Pohled na prameny z geologickeho hlediska.

To, ze v okoli Luhacovic vyveraji mineralni prameny je dano zdejsi prihodnou geologickou strukturou. Z geologickeho hlediska patri Luhacovice do zapadni casti Karpat, k tzv. racanske jednotce magurskeho flyse. Tato je zastoupena z litologickeho hlediska tremi vyznamnymi celky:
-luhacovickou vrstvou (mocnost 400m, stredni a svrchni eocen)
-spodni zlinskou vrstvou (mocnost 300m, svrchni eocen)
-svrchni zlinskou vrstvou (mocnost 1000m, svrchni eocen)

Zatimco oboje zlinske vrstvy, ktere jsou tvoreny prevazne kremitymi piskovci, pripadne slepencovitymi piskovci s polohami jilovitych peolitu jsou temer nepropustne, pro obeh mineralnich vod jsou nejdulezitejsi geologicky nejstarsi luhacovicke vrstvy o mocnosti 400 m tvorene vrstvami piskovcu, prokladane vlozkami jilovcu. V piskovcich jsou vytvoreny pukliny, ktere podminuji proudeni mineralni vody k povrchu zemskemu. V mladsich tretihorach doslo k vrasneni, pricemz doslo v luhacovickych piskovcovych vrstvach k puklinam, ktere maji hlavni zasluhu na obeh zdejsich mineralnich vod.

Obeh techto vod si muzeme vysvetlit takto: Mineralni vody jsou ulozeny hluboko v podzemi jako fosilni vody tretihorniho more. Oxid uhlicity, jako produkt sopecne cinnosti v mladsich tretihorach vystupuje z velkych hloubek z podzemi po puklinach a tektonice do svrchnich partii, kde dochazi v luhacovicke strukture do styku se silne mineralizovanymi vodami. V nich se jednak rozpousti, a soucasne je vynasi k povrchu zemskemu. V hloubkach kolem 200 m se tyto velmi silne mineralizovane vody misi s vadoznimi (vsaknutymi) vodami melkeho obehu. Podle druhu vystupnich cest a stupni redeni pak vznikaji vody s ruznou mineralizaci, ale stejneho chemickeho typu. Vody s nejvyssi koncentraci soli (Elektra, Vladimir a Jaroslava s mineralizaci az 13 - 15 g/l), pres vody s mensi koncentraci (Vincentka, Ottovka, Aloiska, Stastny a dalsi s 8 - 12 g/l), az po vody s nejnizsim obsahem soli (Nova Citarna a Svaty Josef s mineralizaci 4 g/l .Tam, kde vystupni cesty techto vod vystupuji az k povrchu zemskemu jsou jednotlive zdroje jimany ve forme pramenu (Ottovka, Vincentka, Aloiska, Amandka). [EN] The biggest Moravian spa is situated about 15 km southeast of Zlin. Luhacovice mineral waters are considered among the most effective in Europe, not only for high mineral content, but also because they are naturally carbonated. Luhacovice is spa with a long tradition of treatment of respiratory tract, digestive organs, diabetes and kinetic apparatus dysfunction.

Mineral springs from the geological point of view.
From geological considerations, Luhacovice is the western part of the Carpathians, so called Racany unit of the Magura flysh. This is represented by the three major components:
-Luhacovice layer (thickness of 400m, the Middle and Upper Eocene
-Zlin bottom layer (thickness of 300m, the Upper Eocene)
-Zlin upper layer (thickness of 1000m, the Upper Eocene)

Both Zlin layers are almost impermeable. For the cycle of mineral water, geologically oldest Luhacovice layers are the most important. They consist of 400m thick layers of sandstone and claystone. In the sandstones there are created fissures which allows streams of mineral water to get up to Earth's surface. Mineral water is stored deep underground as water of a fossil Tertiary sea. Diferent ways of getting up the surface and degree of dilution, created water with different mineralization, but the same chemical type. From waters with the highest concentration of salt (Elektra, Vladimir and Jaroslava with mineralization and 13-15 g/l) over waters with smaller concentrations (Vincentka Ottovka, Aloiska, with 8-12 g/l), to waters with the lowest salt content (Nova Citarna and St.Joseph with mineralization 4 g/l).
