Geocache Description:

Best if you start at Óin GC2C773, where you'll find parking for one or two cars. Thorin Oakenshield makes for a good final cache in the ring.

“You! You!” cried Thorin, turning upon him and grasping him with both hands. “You miserable hobbit! You undersized burglar!” he shouted at a loss for words, and he shook poor Bilbo like a rabbit.

The Eccleshall Ring is a 2-3 Hour walk south of Eccleshall, based on the 13 Dwarves that accompanied The Hobbit.

ASK Thorin: Where's Gandalf?
Collect the numbers from each cache if you want to find GC2C9FW - Gandalf, a bonus cache also near Eccleshall. Thorin Oakenshield's number is on the inside of the lid of the cache container.

Thorin Oakenshield's number is on his log sheet, but he likes water and occasionally is found soaking wet. Should he be so wet as to not give you the number you need, look on the nearby big metal post, which was made by "Someone & Something" - count how many letters in the "Someone" and add that to the letters in the "Something" to give a single-digit number...
