Starkow - im dreizehnten Jahrhundert noch Starkove bedeutet "alter Ort". Hier liegt dieser Cache!
Es ist ein alter slawischer Ort in Nordvorpommern. Die gotische Backstein-Basilika (13./14.Jhd.) und der denkmalgeschützte historische Pfarrgarten (Barock) sind immer einen Besuch wert.
Den ganzen Sommer über finden Veranstaltungen (Kunst, Konzerte, Garten, Literatur, Puppentheater...) in und um die Kulturkirche statt.
Im Herbst kann man sich auf der Streuobstwiese nicht weit vom Final mit Äpfeln und Birnen erquicken. Die Bartheniederung ist sehr schön radelbar. Reiter finden auch Übernachtung und Weiden.
Wochenends und feiertags gibt es sogar Kaffee und Kuchen in der "Backsteinscheune".

Starkow - which was called Starkove in the thirteenth century - means "Old Place" = "Alter Ort" - our cache!
It is an old slavic settlement in Nordvorpommern. The gothic brick-basilica (13./14.cnt.) and the heritage protected, historic parish garden are always worth a visit.
All summer long there are concerts, art exhibitions, garden excursions, literary readings, muppet shows and other amusements in and around the (also profanely used) church.
In autumn the apple-and-pear-yard (not far from the final...) will supply any visitor with succulent fruits. The Barthe lowlands are nice to bikers. Horseriders can even find a bed for themselves and a pasture for their mounts.
Weekends and on holidays there is even cakes and coffee to be had in the "Backsteinscheune".
