Škrip je najstarejša vas na otoku Brac. Nastala je v casu, ko so se prebivalci zaradi gusarske nevarnosti naseljevali v notranjosti. Poleg otoškega muzeja sta v vasi ogleda vredni vsaj še cerkev in dvorec družine Cerinic. Ob robu vasi se nahaja tudi razgledna tocka, s katere se odpira pogled dalec v notranjost otoka, neposredno pod njo pa je vidna dolina Dol, ki se konca z istoimensko vasico in je znacilna predvsem po ugodni klimi in rodovitnosti, zaradi katere je obdelana skorajda vsaka ped zemlje v njej.
Najboljša cesta v vas pripelje iz križišca nad vasico Splitska, ožja cesta pa vodi še proti Nerežišcam v notranjosti otoka. Na Škrip se lahko povzpnete tudi po urejeni pešpoti iz Splitske. V poletnem casu ne pozabite na zadostno kolicino vode, ce se odlocite za ta pristop. Pazite, da zaklad skrijete na enak način, tako da skale ne bodo ležale na njem in ga poškodovale.

Škrip is the oldest village on the island Brac. It was built in the time when the danger of pirates made it safer to settle inlands.
