Out of state cachers, new cachers, old hands and even the
curious are welcome to attend!!!
Please post a will attend log to let us know if you can come, group
camping, how many people will eat dinner and how many adults/kids
will be in your group. We need this information to plan for
food/drink purchases and activities.
This event is just one way for us to show our appreciation for
all the support our members have given throughout this year.
This event will be a great chance for North Carolina
geocachers and our neighbors to the north, south and west to spend
a little time in a less hectic setting just getting to know each
other while enjoying the 4F's of events: Food, Finds, Friends and
Fellowship which result in the all important 5th F -
FUN!
We have a separate site up for lots of additional
information which will be added to as we get closer @ http://fallfling.wikispaces.com/
Activities
We have reserved both the Park's Community Building and the large
"Heron" Shelter in order to accommodate a large number of
people.
We will split activities between the two areas. It's a decent
walk / short drive between the two. We encourage you to bring
your chairs to be sure you have a seat for the meal.

There is no entrance fee to enter the state park area.
Since this is a state park, the gates to the park will
be locked at 6 pm. So remember not to get stranded and
locked in the park after the event.
Camping
We have reserved four (sites A-D) primitive
group camping sites in Lake Norman State Park for both Friday (5th)
night and Saturday (6th) night, for $5 a night. Ideally pay in
advance at the NCGO Store, but we can also collect on site.
Somewhat of an honor system, so please be good
:).
This will cater for 100 people. Please state if you will be
using the group camping and how many in your party. There are also
family camping sites (all available as of 7/4/10) available through
the Park Reservation system
