Feet, metres, yards, kilometres, miles, Yawn. We've seen them all. In this cache, you will experience some unusual units of measurement. Horse racing enthusiasts may know hands and furlongs . . . those from England may measure someone in stones, but did you know about the measurement unit that police in Boston might use on a specific bridge?
As for this cache, it is about a 1,500 Mabel-height hike as the crow flies.
Saskatchewan doesn't have any Wherigo caches, so I figured I would try my hand at a relatively simple cartridge. Wherigos can be much more complex, but for my first attempt, I figured I would stick to a simple one in order to practice with the Earwigo builder. My next Wherigo will be more in depth (once I get an idea). In order to find this cache, you will need to install this cache's Wherigo cartridge on your device.
Needed/Recommended Tools
The cache cannot be completed without using the cartridge. This means you need to have a Wherigo capable device, some are listed below, but there are others on the market. Not 100% required, but highly recommended is a simple calculator - one capable of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is just fine. Depending on your comfort level, a separate GPSr from your wherigo device may be useful as well. There is a pen in the final container, but good cachers often bring their own writing stick, just in case.
In order to log a find on this cache, you MUST sign the physical log. It is located inside an ammo can.
Wherigo Zones - A Quick Primer
Wherigo zones are not caches, you do not necessarily have to "zero-out" your device to experience everything that a zone has to offer. In this cache, the zones are at least 15 m in diameter. That said, the projections inside the cartridge assume that you do zero out - the posted coordinates are the center of the first zone, you project your way to Waypoint 2 from the posted coordinates. From Waypoint 2's calculated coordinates, you would then be able to determine the coordinates for Waypoint 3, and so on to the final location.
Depending on your GPSr accuracy, the zones may or may not trigger immediately. If you are sure you are in the correct spot, walk away about 20 - 30 m in one direction (not the one you came from), turn around, and walk back in. See if the zone then triggers and you see someone in the zone.
In order to prevent people from having to start all over again if their batteries run out, or they leave the Wherigo program, the cartridge is programmed to autosave every time the player leaves a zone. This will allow you to pick up where you left off very easily.
Other than the final, which is an ammo can, all the waypoints are virtual, there is nothing physical you need to find. Don't be looking for micros in spruce trees, you won't find any.

I don't think this cartridge should have any issues with any Wherigo capable device, but I cannot provide any technical support beyond what is on this page. The following devices have worked at least once. If you use a different device, and it works, leave a note in your FOUND IT log and I will add it to the description here. If it doesn't work, let me know that as well.

How to Install the Cartridge
For the Garmin devices, download the cartridge from the above link to your desktop. Plug your GPSr device into your USB port, then copy the cartridge to the Wherigo folder on your GPSr.
For the iPhone Wherigo player, the best advice I found for loading the cartridge onto your iPhone is through iTunes. Download the cartridge from the link (choose Pocket PC mode) and save it to your desktop. Load iTunes. Click on your phone, then the Apps tab. Scroll down to see file sharing, click on Wherigo, and add the cartridge to your phone. (This advice came from DarrylW4's blog.You can read DarrylW4's article here, but this should not be considered to be an offer of technical support by DarrylW4 either).
