Bushfold View Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

noikmeister: I visited the cache today with the intention to replace it if it was burnt. However the approach to the cache is now choked with thistles, not making for the experience I had originally designed.

When I placed the cache it was the first traditional cache in the valley, but now there are plenty, so I have removed this cache.

Geocache Description:

A 6km walk from the trail head at the start of the Mt Tennent fire trail will bring you to this lovely view.

From the Kosciusko Hut Association website "Bushfold sections 110, 111, 112 and 113 were first selected in the 1880s by members of the McKeahnie Family, who held Booroomba Station nearby."

There is a hut at the southern end of the valley and the cache site overlooks the northern end where the shearing sheds once were.

When replacing the cache please be careful not to damage the container with rocks. There is an Agent Basil pathtag for the first finder.

First to find goes to mtbikeroz
