[CZ] Keska vas zavede na místo v osade, ktere se zde v okoli rika
Masina, v literature tez Stara masina. [EN] This cache will lead
you to a place in the settlement, which is locally called Machine,
in some literature Old machine as well.
Marna masina/Futile machine
[CZ] Tento lidovy nazev se nejen zde v okoli pouziva pro
mista, kde stavalo dulni zarizeni. Zdejsi „masina“ ale
moc prospechu svym provozovatelum neprinesla.
Dul jmenem Humboldt (podle nemeckeho prirodovedce Alexandera von
Humboldta, 1769 - 1859) zde bez radneho geologickeho pruzkumu
zacala roku 1874 hloubit stejnojmenna akciova spolecnost,
zaknihovaná do obchodniho rejstríku v roce 1873. Umyslem bylo tezit
zde hlavni kladenskou sloj. Podle tabulky umistene na zazdenem dolu
bylo hloubeni jamy zahajeno jiz v roce 1872. Tento rozpor se nam
zatim nepodarilo vysvetlit. Jama mela soudkovy profil o rozmerech
2,05 x 7,65 m. Celkova hloubka jamy dosahla 517 m a bylo ji
zastizeno celkem osm slabych uhelnych sloji nyranskeho souvrstvi. V
hloubce 508 m byla zjistena bazalni brekcie 28,8 m mocna. (Brekcie
jsou zpevnene horniny ze skupiny psefitovych sedimentu. Velikost
ulomku (klastu) je vetsi nez 2 mm. Valouny, z nichz zpevnenim
(diagenezi) brekcie vznikaly, neprodelaly zadny nebo jen minimalni
transport, a proto jsou ostrohranne.). Hloubeni jamy bylo tedy v
roce 1878 ukonceno. V roce 1894 byl jeste na dne jamy proveden vrt
az do hloubky celkem 762,8 m. Ani vysledky tohoto vrtu neprinesly
nadeji na zvrat osudu tohoto prvniho a do te doby jedineho pokusu o
tezbu kladenske sloje na Slansku.
Dilo bylo zabezpeceno v roce 1962, dnesni definitivni podobu
ziskalo v roce 2001, kdy byla jama zasypana 12880 m3 popilkové
zakladky. Ponechan byl kontrolni a dosypovy otvor.
Osada Masina spada pod Jemniky. Zajimavosti je, ze Jemniky maji
svuj nazev (drive Jamniky) odvozen od hloubeni jam (puvodne zrejme
pro tezbu rud ci lov zvere).
Ke kesce se da dostat na kole nebo pesky od Jemnik po panelove
pesine nebo vozem od severu (z netovické silnice) az do osady.
Rozhodne pred odlovem doporucujeme videt zazdene usti sachty.

places, where used to stand a winding plant. This machine did not
bring a lot of benefit to its owners.
Mine named Humboldt (after the German natural scientist Alexander
von Humboldt, 1769 – 1859), without a propper geological
prospecting, joint-stock company of a same name started to excavate
in the year 1874. This company was registered previous year. The
intention was to mine the main Kladno stratum. According to the
plate placed on the clamped mine was the excavation started already
in the year 1872. Until now we could not find explanation for this
discrepancy. The pit had barrel shape of dimensions of 2,05 x 7,65
m. Total depth reached 517 m and it caught 8 weak coal strata of
Nyrany complex. In the depth of 508 m was found basal clastogene of
28,8m thickness. Thus the excavation of the pit had been terminated
in 1878. In the year 1894 a bore probe had been done down to depth
of total 762,8m. The results of this probe did not bring any hope
to change of fate of this first and at that time the only attempt
to mine the Kladno stratum from Slany area.
The pit was secured in 1962, todays status was finished in 2001,
when 12880 m3 of fly-ash was introduced, with a check and
additional fill-in opening. The Machine settlement belongs to
Jemniky.
Interesting is, that Jemniky have their name (originally Jamniky)
evolved from a hole (jama). Originally probably for ore mining or
game traping.
You can reach the cache on a bicycle or by walk from Jemniky over a
panel route or by a car from the north (from the Netovice road)
down to the settlement. We definitely recommend to see the clamped
entry to the pit prior to the cache hunt.
