Geocache Description:

This cache is in the hills above Schabrum Park. Hilly terrain and the level of difficulty depends on how you get there. It could be from 2 to 3.

It has been a few years since I looked at the postings and it appears that I needed to make a few changes to the level of difficulty. It is now rated as a 3. As for the ribbons, I doubt that they are still there unless someone has replaced them. The easiest way to get to this cache is from Schabarum Park. Drive to the top of the park and stay to your right and park at the top lot. Looking to your South you will see a trail that runs East and West. Take the trail heading West and come around to the top of the hill and head back East. You will come to a small open space on the trail at the farthest point North of the trail. If you see a small blue ribon on some shrub, thats it. Look to your right and you will see a tree. Take the small path around the tree and down about 10 feet. There will be some bushes at the base of the tree with a small blue ribon tied onto it. The cache is directly under that blue ribon in a small white bucket. You will need long arms or a stick to get it out.(look for a side entrance to the bush).

In the bucket you will find;

  • One camera for a picture of yourself or group. (to be replaced)
  • 2 pens
  • a note pad for any comments
  • 2 rice krispie treats
  • sunflower seeds
  • a 4 pack of Bubbulicious
  • a button that says "It's my first time"(only take this if this is your first cache)
  • a plastic Easter egg with the follwing contents
  • 1 Sacagawea coin
  • 1 Liberty dollar coin
  • 1 Wheat penny
  • 1 Mexican 20 Centavos coin
  • 1 Fijian 1 Cent coin
  • 1 Canadian 1 Cent coin
Good luck and happy hunting.
Chris
