Geocache Description:

Most have heard of golf's Ryder Cup. Well, now it's the turn of Kingsdown to host GeoGolf's Hider Cup. Players compete by first doing a little research and then completing the qualifying cache. As usual, the cache is not at the posted coordinates (but one of the answers may be). In keeping with the ethos of GeoGolfing, the Hider Cup is a modest vessel – the reward is in the finding! Players may be relieved to know that, unlike the qualifying round, the Hider Cup has no smallprint!

The Club Quiz
1. KGC founded: PQRS
2. White tee, hole #14, double-bogey; score: T
3. Which hole? UV**

4. In which month did the annual Kingsdown Sheep Fair used to be held? WX**
5. Mashie Niblick: Y

** Use a leading zero if necessary – I'm not going to reduce the options by giving the number of digits away ;-)

The Competition
If you complete the qualifying round, GC2AX23 Playing Around in Kingsdown, you will have access to the coordinates formula, into which you can plug the values for P–Y. As per the qualifying round, beware of the variable GPS reception – just use the hint that you pick up with the formula! You can check your final coordinates here.

Après-GeoGolf
When you have finished, there is a real 19th hole back up the lane on the main road. No commercial promotion and all that, but the establishment's name involves a large white bird ("Oh no!" I hear certain cachers cry, "not another b****y bird clue!").

Alternatively, wander back to your car (assuming you parked for the qualifying round) whilst taking in the long-established avuncular cache nearby, if you haven't found it before. Be sure to admire the lovely views as you make your way back along the lane.

Course Upgrade (18 Mar 2012)
The course architect has tweaked the Hider Cup's pin position. Don't worry, it's a similar style of final putt ;-)
