Welcome to SELBAC's third event starting from 6:30pm on Tuesday 3rd August 2010 at The Rising Sun, Eden Park, Kent. This is to be a regular event held on the 1st Tuesday of each month.
Experienced or not, this is an opportunity to meet with fellow geocachers, swap trackables and put faces to names. Also, if you have any unsolved puzzles maybe bring them along to see if someone else can help with them. It is hoped to make this meeting on the first Tuesday of every month. We also have several cachers experienced in IT who might be able to help with any problems you might have with PC related issues, paperless geocaching etc. It is the ideal place to find answers to those questions we all have!!!
There is wheel chair access at the venue and children are very welcome as long as they are supervised.
Sandwiches and freshly cooked, hot food available at reasonable cost. The management has made a point of asking for numbers to assist them in providing sufficient bar and kitchen staff. Please let me know if you think you will be wanting food on the evening.
The nearest train station is Elmers End which is only 20 minutes from London Bridge. The trams also stop here from Croydon. The bus stop outside is for the 194, 356 and 358 buses and there is a large car park to the rear of the pub.
The previous two meetings have been very well attended by a large number of geocachers, some of whom have travelled a long way to join us. The discussions have been lively and plenty of tales told. Trackables swapped or "discovered" and (more importantly) friendships forged.
Please feel very welcome to come along especially if you are new. We want to actively encourage geocaching in this area and, maybe, the placing of more caches!! We have set a few to start the ball rolling.
