A fairly simple and quick treasure hunt around Shrewsbury, looking at some interesting aspects of the towns’ architecture; the answers will lead you to a nano cache in Shrewsbury town centre
The clues are all based around architectural animals, and are all within the town centre – it’s a gentle walk and will easily be completed in 45 minutes (if you do nothing but work on the clues).
Shrewsbury has some tall buildings and narrow streets, so there will be the occasional GPS signal drop off, but the clues are all in good signal areas, and will be found easily.
The GPS co-ords take you to the general vicinity of the answers; some of the clues are high up, so look around!
This is an urban cache, and to hide one in the town centre meant this had to be a
nano cache (it’s about 12mm x 12mm!), but it should be a steady find.
It’s in a very public place, so watch out for muggles and please re-hide in exactly
the same position
There’s obviously no room for goodies/swaps, but there is a log book, bring a pen!
If in doubt, the hint will certainly help.
The initial co-ords are very near three of Shrewsbury's 2 hour car parks, but if you’re spending the day in Shrewsbury it’s better to use the excellent park and ride service.
Please note that elements of this cache involve the Quarry Park in Shrewsbury, which is not available during the flower show (a few days in August every year), if you're coming in August please check the dates!
This is a relisting of our Animal Hunt cache - the original cache was damaged in 2009 and we didn't relist it in time, so the old cache is now permanently archived....it's exactly the same as last time though!
